The house is a former Franciscan convent founded at the end of the 15th century. It was purchased, together with Villa Aureli, by the Meniconi Bracceschi family in the second half of the 19th century; since then it was inhabited by farmers and friars until the fifties. The property has been declared hystorical monument by the Ministry of Culture.

The owners recently restored the house and dedicated to their guests an indipendent part of it, including a double bedroom with king-size bed, a studio with a sofa-bed (cm. 190X70) and a wide bathroom with tub and shower. Here the customers (maximum 3 pers.) can enjoy full tranquillity.

Beyond the rich breakfast with house made cakes and marmelades, dinners are served on demand. We also organise guided tours to the city of Perugia and to its surroundings. The guests are provided with free bycicles.

Castel del Piano is 8 km south of Perugia, along the Via Pievaiola, in the direction of the lake Trasimeno. Close to the village borders there is the ancient forest of La Torricella, ideal for walks and bycicle tours and rich in local plants and animals. The city can be easily reached also with public transport.

Prices

For two persons: 75 euro per night , 470 euro per week. For three persons: 95 euro per night, 590 euro per week. Minimum 2 nights stay.

How to reach us

(Look at the map below) From Firenze, take the motorway A1 direction Roma, and exit at Valdichiana. Take the superstrada to Perugia and exit at Perugia Madonna Alta. Follow direction Città della Pieve, until you find the signs to Castel del Piano.

From Roma, take the motorway A1 direction Firenze, exit at Orte, then take the superstrada to Perugia. Approaching Perugia follow the superstrada in direction Firenze and exit at Perugia Madonna Alta. Follow direction Città della Pieve, until you find the signs to Castel del Piano.

When you reach the village's main square, pass in front of the church leaving it on your right-hand side; at the stop sign go straight and then follow the same direction even though the main road turns right and enter via dei Corbari. The gate is 100 metres further on the right side.
